Group Cites "Big Disagreement" as Cause
The Jonas Brothers announced their break-up officially in October. The hints to their break up started with the cancellation of their tour on October 9th, days before the tour was about to kick off. They said that the cancellation was due to “a big disagreement over their music direction." Soon after, the Jonas Brothers deleted their twitter account (@jonasbrothers) even though their personal accounts remained active. At this point, several people and gossip sites were speculating that the Jonas Brothers were planning on breaking up. By the end of October, they unanimously decided and announced their break up.
The Jonas Brothers were on top of their game back in the day with their hit singles like “Burnin’ Up,” Love Bug,” “SOS,” and “When You Look Me in the Eyes” during the years of 2007 and 2008. However their most recent attempts to climb back up the charts with “Pom Poms” and “First Time” were “poorly received” and failed to get them the recognition they used to earn.
During a recent interview with good morning america, Nick Jonas told the reporter that they wanted to focus more on their family’s relationships. Their relationship with each other was becoming too “toxic” and they all wanted to do their own individual activities. Joe stated that while they were together, they “butted heads” often so they wanted to focus on “family first.”
Fans, however, shouldn’t be too disappointed because the Jonas Brothers said that they will be releasing four songs from the album. Furthermore, even though the Jonas Brothers are over, each Member of the Jonas Brothers will continue to do individual activities. Kevin Jonas will focus on his newborn baby and outside business, Joe Jonas is going to pursue acting and release a solo album, and Nick Jonas will also be preparing to release a solo album.
