More Clubs Participating This Year

International Week is coming around the corner. For freshmen or those who don't know what International Week is, it is a week at Bolsa Grande during which we celebrate and get in touch with other countries, enjoy their cuisine, and experience a sampling of their cultures. International Week will start on March 24th and end on March 28th this year.
Students, get excited for International Week because of the international food fair that we have every year around the heptagon on Tuesday and Thursday.
Then, following the food fair, we have our international assembly on Friday, where we get to watch different clubs represent different countries and perform a dance that symbolizes that country's culture. This year, for our international food fair each club will be selling food from Latin American and American cultures on March 25th and food from European and Asian cultures on March 27th.
From what little information has been revealed about club performances, Red Cross and FNL have joined together to represent the Caribbean, Korean club obviously is representing Korea once again, and the same with Filipino club representing the Philippines and VSA representing Vietnam.
Last year, Korean club took first place for the international assembly. Will they win again this year? When asked that, vice president of Korean club, Brian Lee (12) said, "I hope so! 'Cause everybody and each individual helped out to make this happen. We are working very hard! Even though if we don't win, it doesn't matter since we all had a lot fun."
Many clubs get very creative with their dances and provide us with very intriguing performances. International week provides us a chance to bring the school together to enjoy its festivity, while giving the students a chance to look forward to something. Let's anticipate what this year international week will bring us!
